Not Your Ordinary ‘Starling’, This Mobile Coffee Vendor Rides a Big Bike

Motorcycle modifications aren’t just about artistic creations worthy of being entered in modification contests. They can also incorporate the owner’s entrepreneurial spirit. Take, for example, this modified Russian war motorcycle, transformed into a mobile cafe.

This modification was made by Gasoline Motor Co. for the Alternative Dairy Co. store in Australia. The modification is based on the Russian war motorcycle, the Ural. In its standard condition, the Ural has an iconic design, with the addition of a sidecar on the left side. This sidecar is typically used to carry an additional passenger.

Because it will be used as a commercial vehicle, the sidecar’s function has been repurposed to transport various equipment, including a coffee grinder, a La Marzocco espresso machine, dry storage, and a garbage disposal.

To accommodate all this equipment, the modifier added a roll bar to strengthen the chassis structure. This was crucial because a 15-liter refrigerator powered by a 12V compressor is located in the center of the sidecar. Furthermore, two 45-liter aluminum water tanks are also located under the sidecar.

This commercial motorcycle features a navy green finish with classic graphics. This classic feel is further enhanced by the spoked wheels and thick, bobber-style tires.
